"The Heteen Foundation launches a project to distribute wheelchairs and aid to the physically disabled in Al-Mahra, funded by the Nafaa Charitable Society in the State of Kuwait."

The inauguration was held this morning, Thursday, February 22, 2024, by Sheikh Hani Al-Rubaian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nafa Charitable Society in the State of Kuwait, in the presence of Dr. Salman Al-Afeef, Director of the Nafa Charitable Society in the State of Kuwait, Dr. Jamal Al-Faqih, Director of the Heteen Charitable Developmental Foundation in Yemen, and with Al-Amin. General of the Local Council in Al-Mahra Governorate, Mr. Salem Abdullah Nimer, Mr. Salem Balhaf Abu Jaber, Director of the Association for the Disabled in the Governorate, and Mr. Muhammad Jabaz Balhaf, Executive Director of the Association. Distributing 53 wheelchairs to a number of the association’s affiliated children, and financial gratuities provided to them, from the Kuwaiti Charity Fund, as part of the ongoing efforts to promote social development and support vulnerable groups in Al-Mahra, confirming global humanitarian solidarity in facing humanitarian challenges. During the inauguration, Mr. Salem Abu Jaber, Director of the Disabled Association, welcomed Mr. Salem Nemer, Secretary-General of Al-Mahra Locality, as well as Sheikh Hani Al-Rubaian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Heteen Utilities and Administration, thanking them for their gesture today to the category of people with special needs, and bringing joy to them by distributing a number of Wheelchairs and cash aid for a number of the association’s children, which will contribute to raising their psychological morale. During the director of the Association for the Disabled in the governorate, the beginning of the humanitarian intervention in Yemen in general and Al-Mahra in particular, for the Nafaa Charity Association. In the governorate, I hope that there will be upcoming projects that put people with special needs at the forefront. In turn, Ben Nemer, Secretary-General of Al-Mahra Local, expressed his thanks and appreciation for the aid package and interventions recently implemented by Nafaa Charity through its local partner Heteen, stressing the readiness of the local authority to provide facilities and overcome difficulties. Following the inauguration, Al-Rubaian and his companion toured the sections of the Association for the Disabled to learn closely about the work of the Association, its sections, and what it offers to its members with special needs, listening to an introductory explanation about the Association’s activity and what it has achieved during the past periods.
