Opening a care and rehabilitation home for orphans in Ma’rib Governorate

Today, Sunday, July 7, 2024 AD, Ma’rib Governorate witnessed the inauguration ceremony of the Dar Umm Abdullah project for the care and rehabilitation of orphans, with generous support and funding from the Nafaa Charitable Society in Kuwait and in the midst of an official and popular presence. During the opening ceremony, which was attended by the Undersecretary of Ma'rib Governorate, Dr. Abd Rabbuh Muftah, Dr. Jamal Al-Faqih, Director General of the Foundation, Dr. Omar Al-Kamel, Undersecretary of Ibb Governorate, Mr. Dawoud Alooh, Head of the Humanitarian Relief Coalition, Mr. Bassam Al-Jabarti, Director of the Humanitarian Relief Coalition, and a number of dignitaries and social figures, and a group of citizens... The Undersecretary of Ma’rib Governorate, Dr. Abd Rabbuh Muftah, praised the great support of the State of Kuwait’s leadership, government, people, and charitable societies, for their unlimited support to the Yemeni people for decades. Which is still a pioneer in supporting Yemen in various fields and sectors, especially education, health, relief and other charitable projects. "Moftah" said that this project comes in response to the calls of the local authority in Ma'rib Governorate, which called for broad interventions within the framework of education, as there is an urgent need to find sustainable and quality projects that provide all educational and health services to generations in the governorate, especially the category of orphans whose families the governorate embraces large numbers of. Most of the governorates of the Republic, who are in dire need of being accommodated in educational incubators that work to qualify and empower them and provide them with life and professional skills in various fields. For his part, Dr. Jamal Al-Faqih, Director of the Hattin Development Foundation, the implementing partner of the project, confirmed that this project aims to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people from the crisis they are experiencing, which has had many repercussions, including the presence of thousands of orphans who need care and the provision of their basic needs of food, clothing and education, as The home will work to provide all educational, shelter, health and cultural care and services, empower orphans and provide them with the experiences and skills required by the local market. In addition to providing many diverse activities in the field of the Holy Qur’an, computers, and developing the skills and abilities of orphans in all fields. He stressed that the home includes classrooms, a computer lab, an activities hall, and boarding housing with all its facilities, in addition to administrative facilities, as the home accommodates more than 82 orphans in the governorate.
